Climate
The climate in the Riviera Maya is typically tropical, with more than 250 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of 24°C.

Spring: In March the weather is temperate, there is no extreme heat or cold. There may be occasional rain or temperatures below 20° due to the cold fronts from the north, but in general it is a very good season for vacations.
Summer: Heat is what characterizes summer in the Riviera Maya, there are occasional rains, but they are not very abundant (you could say they are refreshing), it is the best season of the year if what you are looking for is the beach and a good tan.
Autumn: Traditionally the low season for tourism, but if you don’t want crowds at airports and hotels, or you are overwhelmed by the heat, autumn is a good season to visit the Riviera Maya, and although in the Caribbean it is hurricane season there is no reason to be alarmed. , since in general there is great awareness and preparation on the part of hotel staff for this type of contingencies.

Winter: It is a very romantic season, Christmas inspires a honeymoon, there are couples who choose winter to rest and spend a beautiful evening or Christmas by the sea or in one of the hundreds of restaurants in the Riviera Maya. , the temperature is pleasant compared to other destinations where temperatures near or below zero may be recorded in winter. Here “the cold” can be up to 15° above zero.
Transportation
Getting from one place to another in the Riviera Maya is easy. The main road is the free highway that goes from Cancun to Chetumal, and that passes through the entire Riviera Maya. Here you can find several options to go from the Cancun airport to Playa del Carmen or Tulum.
There is a bus terminal in Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, Tulum (Pueblo) and Felipe Carrillo Puerto, you can request a stop near the points of interest, although normally they will drop you off on the road (be very careful).
Another option is to tour the Riviera Maya by car, there are rental companies and depending on the type and model as well as the days you are going to use it, the cost is the same.
You can use taxis within the cities themselves, or to get from one point to another, but always compare prices before requesting any service, it can sometimes be cheaper to rent a car for a day than the taxi fare.
To take the tours, there are companies that offer you tours with round trip transportation already included in the entrance ticket, which is also highly recommended and practical.
